Q: How old does my child need to be to play in The Recreational Soccer program?
A: Our Recreational program is offered to boys and girls from 4 to 9 years old.
Q: How do I register my child for Challenge The Recreational Soccer?
A: You can register online! Under Recreational Programs look for the Registration button. Follow the instructions for registration in TGS.
Q: How much are the registration fees and what do they cover?
A: The cost is $230/season. This includes a uniform. Note: players are allowed one uniform per year, not per season. There is an optional uniform package for purchase which includes: 2 game jerseys, 1 game shorts, 1 game soccer ball, and 1 practice jersey.
Q: What equipment is provided? What equipment do I need?
A: All players need to bring their own soccer ball (Size 3 for U5-U7, and Size 4 for U8-U10), shin guards, soccer cleats, and water, and a required T-shirt and black shorts with white socks for all training sessions. All other required training equipment will be provided by the coaching staff.
Q: When does the season start?
A: Fall 2023 practices start August 28 and games start September 16
Q: Who will coach my son or daughter’s team?
A: We are proud to say we have incredibly experienced and qualified coaches on our coaching staff. You can find information on which coaches are at your nearest program location at challengesoccer.com/staff.
Q: How many times per week will my team practice?
A: There is one 75-minute training session per week, and an optional secondary training session for an additional cost.
Q: Where are The Recreational practices held?
A: We offer 4 Recreational programs across the city. 1. Burroughs park for those around the Tomball/Woodlands area. 2. Sandlot for those in and around the Cypress area. 3. Deer Ridge Park for those families in the Kingwood area. 4. Northland Christian school for those students wanting an after school option.
