Challenge Leads South Texas with 7 ECNL PDP Selections
Once again, individual Challenge player performances have been recognized at the highest level of youth soccer as seven CSC ECNL players have been selected to attend the upcoming Texas Conference Player Development Program (PDP), March 12-13. The event, held at SMU's Wescott Field in Dallas, provides the top players within every ECNL conference to play with and against the best players in their region, over three age groups (00, 99, 98), and be recognized and rewarded for their ability and performance. Players are split into 4 teams at the event and will be evaluated by PDP staff for ECNL National Camp invitations as well as potential US National Team camp involvement. Selections are based on individual player performance over the entire 2015/16 ECNL season and are determined by the opposing clubs and ECNL scouts, across the conference.

Challenge's seven selections are the most amongst the South Texas based ECNL clubs and include players from all 3 eligible age groups.

Texas Conference PDP staff member and Challenge ECNL Asst Director, Chris Maravalli, had this to say about the player selections:

"We are very proud of all seven players who were selected to this year's ECNL PDP. Their performances have been recognized throughout our
conference and their PDP invitations are a deserved recognition of how impactful these girls are, on a daily basis, at the highest level. Three of these players have US Youth National Team experience but we know that all seven will perform very well against the top players in Texas and Oklahoma while proudly representing the Challenge family."

ECNL PDPs are created with 3 primary goals:

1. Identify - identify the top players within the conference at multiple age groups

2. Develop - provide a developmental experience that provides insight and information to help participating players continue their development

3. Recognize and reward individual performance and achievement
